The Management Committee:

This Committee consists of members of the club who have volunteered their time and expertise to ensure NCC continues to function on a day to day basis. The positions and persons responsible can be found on the website in Contact Us.

The Pavilion:

The bar provides significant income for the club and the committee works to ensure that this is maximised through competitive purchasing of its core items, ordering frequency / quantity and pricing policy. The club operates a two tier pricing system which enables members to benefit from reduced bar prices (£0.50p off alcohol drinks).

Both the pavilion and ground are utilised on a regular basis from April through to September. The pavilion is a popular meeting place for both playing and social members throughout the year. The pavilion is available to hire for small functions so if you would like to use the pavilion and to support the club at the same time please contact any members of the Management Committee.

Fundraising:

2014 had various fundraising events including a ladies race day, summer BBQ, a sponsored 150km cycle event, 150th sponsorship board, poker nights and bonfire party which in total raised over £7000.

Fundraising is an important area to ensure the continued development of the Club and without these additional funds we would find it difficult to improve facilities both on and off the field.

If you would like to get involved with fundraising initiatives then please get in touch with the Chairman Mike Hughes via email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Nat West Cricket Force:

Following on from the fantastic success in recent years the club will continue with this annual event which is due to take place on the weekend of the 28th & 29th March. Last year, over 40 volunteers offered their support to help the club prepare for the season. For details of what was achieved, with pictures to prove it - visit the club website.

ECB Clubmark Accreditation:

The Club continues to hold its ECB Clubmark Accreditation status having successfully completed its tri-annual audit last September 2012. This demonstrates we are committed to providing a safe, effective and child friendly environment.  The club has an approved Club Development Plan which is updated annually. More Clubmark information can be found in the website Main Menu.

The Club Constitution and Codes of Conduct:

A copy of the Constitution and the Codes of Conduct can be found in the club folder in the hallway and on the website.

It is a requirement for all new and existing members, including parents / carers / legal guardians to make themselves and family members aware of the contents before signing the application form.

Duty of Care and Safeguarding Children:

NCC is committed to adopting the ECB “Safe Hands” – cricket’s policy for safe guarding children, which aims to provide a safe, friendly and enjoyable cricketing experience that is tailored to the needs and requirements of all children.

As part of the ECB Clubmark Accreditation we continue to work to ensure we adopt all aspects of the Safe Hands policy. Further information on the Safe Hands policy can be found in the Clubmark folder located in the pavilion or via the link on the club website.

NCC has a Club Welfare Officer (Colin Nicholson) whose role is to proactively ensure the safety of children. Contact details are available on the club notice board and on the club website.

Club Inclusion & Diversity Policy:

Northop Cricket Club, in all its activities, is fully committed to the principles of equality of opportunity in cricket, and to ensure that its members and all other individuals volunteering for Northop Cricket Club, and participating in or watching Northop Cricket Club’s activities are treated fairly and are able to conduct their activities free from discrimination, harassment or intimidation.
